Websites and ads for Upstate South Carolina

I find the exact thing that’s broken, then I fix it.

Every ad running on Facebook and Instagram is public record. Anyone can look it up. Almost nobody does. Before I ask you for a dollar, I go look, and I tell you what I found.

Field notes

Three things I found in the Upstate this week

All three of these ads are live right now and costing somebody money. I pulled them out of Meta’s public ad library in about an hour.

Spartanburg
Beauty supply
Expired offer, still paying

The ad promotes a back-to-school sale that ran July 28 through August 2. It is September, the sale is over, and the ad is still running. There is also no link in it, so anyone it reaches has nowhere to go but the parking lot.

The fixKill the dead ad today. Replace it with one offer, one image, and one link to a page that actually sells something.

Greenville
Retail storefront
Unchanged since Feb 2024

Same ad, same video, thirty months. The headline says “Weekly Sales!” and the ad never says what is on sale, so there is no reason to come in this week instead of never. The button says Call now. Nobody calls a retail store.

The fixName the offer out loud. Send people to a page instead of a phone call they are never going to make.

Gaffney
Used car lot
No price, no payment

One ad running since April 2025, still leading with an award it won in 2024. Every vehicle in the carousel carries the identical headline, and not one of them shows a price, a payment, or a down payment.

The fixPut the monthly payment in the ad. For most used car shoppers that number is the entire decision.

None of these businesses are clients, and none of them are named here or anywhere else. If one of them is yours, you already got an email from me with the link to your own ad.

What I do

Two things, both of them all the way finished

Websites

A site that loads fast, works on a phone, says what you do and where you are, and gives somebody a reason to pick up the phone. I build it and I host it. You never log into anything.

  • One to five pages, written for you
  • Built phone first, because that is where they are
  • Your real photos, not stock
  • Contact form that lands in your inbox
  • Google Business Profile connected properly
  • Hosting, updates and changes included

Ads

Facebook and Instagram ads that name a real offer and point at something that works. Written, produced and loaded for you. If the offer expires, I take the ad down. That is apparently a differentiator.

  • Video and still creative
  • Copy that names the offer and the price
  • The landing page it points at
  • Monthly refresh so nothing runs stale
  • Plain-English report on what ran

How it goes

Four steps, and the first one is free

01

I look first

Before we talk about money, I pull your ads, your website and your Google profile and I tell you exactly what I found. It takes me an hour and it costs you nothing. You keep the findings whether or not you hire me.

02

I build one thing

Not a rebrand. Not a six-month engagement. The single piece that closes the biggest hole, built and ready to look at.

03

You approve it

Nothing goes live until you have seen it and said yes. If it is wrong, I redo it. If you hate it, you owe me nothing.

04

I keep it current

Going stale is the single most common way this stuff fails. Monthly, I make sure an August sale is never still running in September.

Work

What I have built

I am new at this and I am not going to pretend otherwise. Here is the real one, described accurately.

Basil Law Group

Real estate & title litigation · Carrollton, GA Delivered Aug 2026 · awaiting client launch

What was wrong

  • The contact page title was literally the word “test.” It had been that way for years.
  • No attorney bio, no photograph, no email address, no office hours.
  • Nineteen practice areas presented as one flat wall of text.
  • Language that Georgia’s attorney advertising rules restrict.

What I built

  • Four pages, static, no dependencies, hosts anywhere.
  • Practice areas restructured into something a client can actually navigate.
  • Copy written against the State Bar of Georgia’s advertising rules.
  • Light and dark, tested at desktop and phone widths.
  • Every unverified claim flagged for the client rather than guessed at.

Yes, we have the same last name. Basil Law Group is my dad’s firm. He was my first client because he trusted me before anybody else would, and I would rather tell you that myself than have you notice it and wonder.

Who you are actually hiring

Elliott Basil

I am one person in Spartanburg. There is no account manager, no team, no offshore studio. You get me, on my cell phone, and that is the whole company.

I underwrite commercial loans for a living, which means I spend my days reading small business financial statements. I know what a slow quarter looks like on paper and I know exactly what a marketing invoice is worth measured against one. That is an unusual background for somebody who builds websites, and it is the reason I will tell you not to spend money when spending it is a bad idea.

I take a small number of clients on purpose. If I am too busy to do yours properly I will tell you that instead of taking the work.
